State-of-the-Art Hernia Treatment

As a dedicated hernia repair centre we have a variety of experienced hernia consultants that are specialists within their field and able to treat a variety of hernia types. Our consultants have performed thousands of operations with an exceptionally high success rate. The names of different hernias tend to relate to where they are on the body. See below for a full list of hernias we are able to treat.

What is a Hernia?

A hernia is an abnormal swelling or bulge, most commonly seen on the abdomen and groin, as a result of a weakening or hole in the abdominal wall. Most hernias give no symptoms apart from a painless swelling. They are usually straight-forward to diagnose and can be treated by surgery.

Hernia surgery today is much more advanced than even five years ago. The use of laparoscopic surgery techniques and the newest, lightweight meshes (if needed), often allow patients to heal faster, in less pain, and have a more cosmetic outcome.

Patients who are deciding on where to have hernia surgery should make sure that their surgeon has all the tools available to offer the most state-of-the-art techniques and mesh to their patients.
